Thinking About Retiring? Your Book — and Your Clients — Deserve the Right Next Home

You've spent years, probably decades, building your book of business one relationship at a time. When the time comes to step back, the question isn't just what your book is worth — it's who will look after your clients the way you have.

Ontario Life Financial is actively acquiring life insurance and segregated fund books of business from retiring advisors across Ontario. If you're planning your exit — this year or a few years from now — we'd like to start a confidential conversation.

Who we're looking to hear from

• Independent life insurance and segregated fund advisors planning retirement or a phased exit
• Advisors in Hamilton, Burlington, the GTA, and across Ontario
• Books of any size — a few dozen households or several hundred
• Advisors who care, first and foremost, that their clients land with someone who will actually service them

What matters to us — because we know it matters to you

Your clients come first. A book isn't a spreadsheet to us. Your clients will be serviced by a real, local advisor who answers the phone — with annual reviews, prompt claims support, and the same relationship-based approach you built your practice on.

Continuity of choice. Ontario Life Financial is an independent brokerage working with 20+ of Canada's leading insurance and segregated fund providers — in most cases, your clients can keep their existing policies and funds exactly as they are.

A transition at your pace. Full sale now, or a gradual handover over one to three years while you introduce us to your key clients personally. We structure the transition around your retirement plans and your clients' comfort.

Fair value, clearly explained. We'll walk you through exactly how your book is valued — no jargon, no pressure, and no obligation to proceed.

Complete confidentiality. Every conversation is strictly confidential and there's no commitment until you sign. Your clients, your carriers, and your competitors hear nothing from us.

How it works

A confidential conversation. A call or a coffee — we talk about your book, your timeline, and what a good exit looks like to you.

A look under the hood, under NDA. With a non-disclosure agreement in place, you share the details of your book (client count, product mix, revenue) and we prepare a valuation.

A fair, written offer. Purchase structure, payment terms, and a transition plan — in writing, for you to review with your own advisors.

A careful handover. Joint letters and personal introductions, so your clients hear about the change from you first and meet the advisor who'll be looking after them.

I built Ontario Life Financial the same way you built your practice — one family at a time. If you're starting to think about what's next, I'd welcome a conversation, even if your retirement is still a few years out. The best transitions are the ones planned early.
